12.10.25 - it’s official. I published a book.

Good morning , 

It’s official. I added 2 more titles in 2025: Author & Publisher.

I started writing this book in early 2024. I finished the first draft at the very end of 2024. I added a few more chapters in 2025 and then hired an editor in April. In September, I realized I needed to let the editor go and finish this on my own. I was so disappointed. 

It’s been a very slow process. There was a lot of fear I had that contributed to the delay in getting the book finalized. 

I remember in September, I read a book called “It’s not supposed to be this way,” and as I was finishing the book, I asked myself, “How many more books are you going to read before you finish your own?"

I knew I was doing that “delay” thing I do when I don’t feel confident or prepared enough. I was hoping I could hire someone to get the book pretty and perfect before I released it. After I let the editor go, I knew any hope of hiring someone else was gone. I finished editing the book and asked a friend to review it for me. After that, I needed to format the book and design the outside of the book. Once that was completed, it was pretty straightforward (thank you Lord)!

We can easily delay ourselves because we don’t feel we have what it takes. What I’ve learned through this is that God will give me everything I need to carry out the plans he placed in my heart. A lot of times, we want things to fall in our lap. We don’t want it to take a lot of work. We don’t want one more thing on our plate. We don’t want to be burdened with having to learn something new or work on developing our skills. We just want God to “make” it happen. 

If God operated like that, he would have a lot of lazy disciples, and I don’t believe he wants that. He wants us bold. He wants us to have discipline. He wants our faith to be strengthened. He wants us to operate with confidence in Him.

This was hard. This was uncomfortable. This was emotional. This took time. This made me look fear right in the face and say, “I don’t care as long as it points them to Christ.”

This book is personal. It’s my testimony, and I pray it encourages others to share what Christ has done in their life. 

So it's official! I published my first book!!! God is good, and he gets all the praise.
