11.19.25 - God is in no hurry

Good morning , 

One thing I’ve learned this year is that God doesn’t hurry to answer every prayer. He isn't hurried by our lack of patience or constant worry. He isn't confined to time. What do you do when you pray and you pray and the situation actually gets worse? 

Is it that you don’t have enough faith? 

Is it that God is mad at you? 

Is it that you prayed wrong?

The truth is, God doesn’t answer every prayer the way we want. He doesn’t heal every single person we pray for. He doesn’t deliver us out of every single bad situation the moment we ask. He doesn’t rush to make our life more convenient to make us feel better.

Sometimes we suffer. 

Sometimes he takes people. 

Sometimes we have to endure the hard times. 

Sometimes we have to get to the end of ourselves. 

The good news is that through the waiting, He gives us the strength to go on. He comforts us when we are falling apart. He is with us even when we feel alone. Then once again, He turns our worry into hope. 

This has been another hard week of parenting. We are praying for guidance. We are making changes. Even with support, none of it’s easy. Every day, I’m finding myself lost for words just trying to make it. And by the grace of God, we do make it. Here is a verse I read this week, and I wanted to share it with you.

Isaiah 26:3-4
You will keep in perfect peace

    those whose minds are steadfast,

    because they trust in you.

Trust in the Lord forever,

    for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.

I don't know when God will give us some relief. I don't know when my prayer will be answered. I really don't know. I've learned to trust in the Lord regardless of when it will happen. I know He is with us. He sees us. He knows and cares. It's all in His hands.

I hope this encourages you if you are having a hard time trusting in the Lord.
